Five people were killed and 12 seriously injured in the outbreak of fresh violence in the Plateau State capital on Tuesday night.The violence was a clash between groups of youths around Nasarawa and Angwan Rukuba areas. Many innocent passers-by were caught in the melée leaving them either injured or their vehicles damaged.
Spokesman of the Special Task Force in charge of security in the state, Captain Charles Ekeocha who confirmed the incident said the violence broke out around 7.pm after a resident of Angwan Rukuba invited one Dahiru Musa to handle a repair for him only for him to be killed by some people.Groups of youths in the area were said to have mobilized for a reprisal taking to the streets and attacking those considered to be in opposite camp. task force later moved in to restore normalcy and took the injured to the hospital for treatment.
Just when peace has settled in.....it seems some just like uproar everywhere..
