Ola Apena is facing 32 years behind bars (MPS)
for the murder of a student. The body of sports student Mr Ogunro was found in a burning car in Peckham on June 1st 2010. He had been shot in the head in what detectives believe was a pre-planned executionA jury heard that Mr Ogunro had been tricked into going with Apena, 22, to buy a gun from Rocky Thompson, 25, in Aylesbury in August 2009.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police's Operation Trident were tracking Apena and stopped and searched his car, finding a firearm and ammunition.
Apena subsequently attempted to pressure Mr Ogunro into pleading guilty and taking responsibility for the gun, but the teenager refused.

While on remand for firearms offences, Apena proceeded to plan and order the execution of Mr Ogunro.
Apena was convicted of conspiracy to murder, conspiracy to pervert the course of justice and three firearms offences at the Old Bailey last week, and at a hearing today was sentenced to 32 years in jail.
The jury failed to reach a verdict on the conspiracy charges faced by Thompson, but he was sentenced to ten years behind bars for supplying a firearm with intent to endanger life.
A 17-year-old boy from Peckham was found not guilty of murder but received a four-year jail term for perverting the course of justice.
Detective Chief Inspector Damian Allain, of the Met's homicide and serious crime command, said Mr Ogunro was a teenager with a 'bright future ahead of him' until he was duped by Apena.
'Samuel was executed in a cold-blooded and truly evil act just so they could escape justice,' he said.
'His family have had their lives ripped apart by his death and I hope that today's convictions go some way to help them come to terms with their loss.'
