61 NIGERIANS DEPORTED FROM UK

Sixty-one Nigerians deported by the government of the United Kingdom on Thursday arrived the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.

The deportees, who landed in the early hours of Thursday, comprised 47 males, 11 females and three minors.Sources say they were deported as a result of immigration-related offences such expired visas. Most of the deportees were not allowed bring back any belongings.
I can imagine the atmosphere on the airplane..Going back home unplanned with no money or belongings..Sad:(
One of the deportees who identified herself as Juliet, claimed that she was also arrested by the British Immigration officer over expired documents.
“My visa expired and they said I could no longer reside in the UK; that is why I was brought back home,” she said.
The deportees were received by immigration service officers, the Nigerian Police Force, aviation Security personnel and a few relatives..

Hopefully things would turn out well for them in Nigeria..
